Unit Details
This unit includes seminars and experiential exercises (role plays) to give students an understanding of facilitating dispute resolution in the family law context, adhering to ethical standards in family dispute resolution, and operating in a family law environment
Pre-requisites

Completed a UWA NMAS Mediation Training Course and hold current accreditation under the National Mediator Accreditation System, OR

Hold a current accreditation under the National Mediator Accreditation System and completed the UWA Bridging Course

Assessments

Assessments will include preparing a case file, analysing case study scenarios and applying the family law to different client legal dilemmas, and developing responses to complex ethical dilemmas that might arise

Assessments in this unit will be in accord with the Assessment Conditions set out in CHCDSP001, CHCDSP002, and CHCFAM001
